Fr. Agnel College, Pilar, celebrated the 74^th Independence Day on 15^th August 2020, with the Principal, Prof. Savio Falleiro hoisting the tri-colour, assisted by ANO Asst. Prof. Andrew Antao and NCC Cadet Captain Teena Mathew. This was followed by singing of the National Anthem. Dr. Fr. Fredrick Rodrigues, Vice Principal then led the gathering in prayer. Principal, Prof. Savio Falleiro, in his address thanked the staff members for their loyalty to the nation; he stated that every little contribution that each one makes for the College, goes a long way in helping our State as well as the Nation. Asst. Prof. Dr. Murelle Mascarenhas, in her Independence Day speech emphasised that the only real prison is “Fear”, and the only real freedom is “Freedom from Fear”. While Asst. Prof. Anita Fernandes compered, Asst. Prof. Carina Vaz proposed the Vote of Thanks. Asst. Prof. Angela Dias e Rodrigues was the Coordinator for the occasion.
