Teaching & non-teaching staff, students, alumni, NSS volunteers and NCC cadets of Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar, undertook numerous initiatives during the COVID-19 lockdown in order to assist the needy of the Society as well as the personnel on the field. In one initiative the alumni & non-teaching staff in collaboration with the Counselling Cell prepared and distributed 100 face masks to Mr. Peter Borges, CEO, Human Touch, an NGO which takes care of the HIV positive and their households. Face masks were also distributed to the poor from the locality
NCC & NSS students of the College also distributed face masks, sanitizers, water and refreshment to the police personnel as well to needy people. The students recorded and uploaded various videos on Facebook, Instagram on how to take preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19. The students also helped publicize and expand the use of Arogya Setu App, besides making numerous posters highlighting various facets of COVID-19.

College Farewell Day was celebrated on 14th March 2020. The Theme for the Farewell was “Launch out into the World with Love and Courage”. The Programme started with a Solemn Mass by Rev. Fr.
